Our BH Director Spotlight of the Quarter is Dr. Ali Fadhil!Med School: University of Baghdad College of Medicine
Residency: New York University – Masters in Journalism
Dr. Fadhil is currently Benchmark’s Hospitalist Director at Palomar Medical Center Escondido and Poway. He has sixteen years of extensive experience in internal medicine in major hospitals and has been published in major journals. His favorite part of working with Benchmark is the technical team that constantly supports him, and he is passionate about creating a positive culture for the group.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Fadhil is an accomplished journalist, having written for major papers like the New York Times, The Guardian, and Le Monde. He is also an award-winning filmmaker and was a finalist for an Emmy documentary award and the British Royal Media award among others. His films have aired on stations such as BBC, Channel 4, and HBO. He also has a wife and two children, Sara and Adam, and enjoys hiking and camping.
